Washington State Technology Transfer Center (WST2)
The Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Training Program provides local agencies access to relevant training opportunities. LTAP sponsors its own courses, directly targeting the training needs of local agencies receiving Federal funding, as well as gathering information about other valuable training.
The Staff Development Branch of the Office of Human Resources primarily manages all aspects of workforce development for the Washington State Department of Transportation. This is accomplished through the organization of six primary training programs:
- Leadership & Management
- Technical & Professional
- Employee Development
- Maintenance
- Safety
- Information Technology.
The Transportation Partnership in Engineering Education Development (TRANSPEED) offers a comprehensive professional development program in transportation engineering and planning. TRANSPEED presents an on-going series of short courses designed to assist in the training and education of personnel in federal, state and local agencies, as well as in the private sector.
