How do I check stuff out?

Equipment is available for check out weekdays from 8am to 4pm from the TransNow office located in More Hall 129. Students will be asked to fill out a checkout form which includes a brief description of the activity that the checked out equipment will support. Please be as accurate as possible when filling out the form. TransNow relies on this information to ensure funds are allocated appropriately to purchase future equipment and keep our software inventory up-to-date.

Equipment Use Policy

Each student must sign an Equipment Use Policy indicating agreement to the following conditions:

  1. Save your work to your own disk. Do not save to any TransNow computers or laptops. Computers are periodically wiped clean by TransNow staff.
  2. Do not modify the computers in any way. This includes installing or removing software, changing settings, accessing websites not relevant to your UW transportation studies, etc.
  3. TransNow computers and equipment are for academic and transportation related use only.
  4. Do not eat or drink around any TransNow equipment.
  5. Do not share the access codes or passwords with anyone.

Failure to abide by the TransNow Equipment Use Policy will result in the loss of future check out privileges.
