How do I check stuff out?

This equipment may be checked out by transportation students for transportation related education at no cost. We have a policy of no equipment reservations, and no overnight checkout (except laptops) without prior approval.

To get equipment come by More Hall 129 from Weekdays from 8am to 4pm. You will be asked to fill out a checkout form which includes a brief description of the activity that the checked out equipment will support. The more accurate this description is, the better we will be able to allocate funds to purchase future equipment and keep software available and up to date.

Each student must also sign an Equipment Use Policy which indicates agreement to the following conditions:

  1. Save your work to your own disk. Do not save to any TransNow computers or laptops. Computers are periodically wiped clean by TransNow staff.
  2. Do not modify the computers in any way. This includes installing or removing software, changing settings, accessing websites not relevant to your UW transportation studies, etc.
  3. TransNow computers and equipment are for academic and transportation related use only.
  4. Do not eat or drink around any TransNow equipment.
  5. Do not share the access codes or passwords with anyone.
  6. Remember that use of the TransNow equipment is a privilege and may be revoked if necessary.
Transportation Northwest does not make any guarantees that equipment listed will be available. If you are relying on the above information to be accurate, please verify it with our staff.
