Presentations

Giving a presentation at the Region X Student Conference is a great way to share your research and get feedback on your ideas.  Possible topics are listed below.  Attendees will vote for the best presentation and cash prizes will be awarded!

Each scheduled presentatiton is to fit within a 20-minute time slot.  Please target your presentation to around 12 minutes to save time for setup and Q&A.

Posters

The poster session at Transnow has been popular with past attendees as a great way to meet other students. This year we are encouraging all conference participants who are not presenting to prepare a poster. Please feel free to collaborate on a poster with other students. Easels and poster boards will be provided. Attendees will vote for the best poster.

Poster Session Information

  • There will be two poster sessions. We will let you know which session you're assigned to as the conference approaches.
  • Your poster should be a maximum of 36" tall x 48" wide (it is OK if it is smaller). We will provide mounting materials and 36" x 48" hinged poster boards (at right) for display on easels and table tops.
  • If you did not submit a poster title when you registered for the conference or if you need to revise the title you can resubmit the registration form with your name, email, and the title or you can email kperrine@u.washington.edu. Please let us know if you will be collaborating with any other students. A list of posters will appear in the conference program.
