Continuing Research Proposals - Year 22

The Transportation Northwest Regional Center (TransNow) is requesting proposals for continuing research projects for its 22nd year of center funding: July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010.

Incomplete proposals will not be accepted. Late proposals will not be considered for research funding for the current cycle. Notice of project acceptance or rejection for those PI's who submit their completed proposal by the submittal deadline will occur in April 2009.

Proposal Details and Deadline

The Transportation Northwest office will send a Project Fact Sheet and the original Budget spreadsheet directly to PIs who have second year TN projects. Budgets should only be amended to refelct changes in personnel or items. The total federal amount requested and local match committed should not change from what was initially awarded during the first year of project acceptance (these changes will require prior approval from TransNow). Match committed should remain at 10/6, 10/5.5, or 10/5 times the requested federal dollars, depending upon your percentage of local cash match (please see original RFP regarding match requirements).

If you are the facilitator of a multi-university project, you will be responsible for turning in the combined work plan for all of the PI’s involved as well as the individual budgets for each university.

Proposals for continuing research must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. (PST) Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

Submittal Process

The Project Fact Sheet and Budget spreadsheet(s) must be filled out and submitted in electronic format via e-mail to TransNow at transnow@u.washington.edu (or CD via postal mail).
